Why Get a Cholesterol Test?

How does it work?
- A trained Right Medicine Pharmacy colleague will conduct the test in the pharmacy – simply pop in and ask to speak to one of the team.
- Using the PocDoc app, you will be asked to fill out a cardiovascular questionnaire.
- We will prick your fingertip to obtain a small blood volume, known as a capillary blood sample and is similar to that required for blood glucose testing.
- The PocDoc quantitative lateral flow test receives your blood sample and uses AI technology to analyse the five lipid marker levels: Total cholesterol, High-density lipoprotein (HDL), Non-HDL, Triglycerides, and the Total cholesterol to HDL ratio.
- Just 7 minutes later, the PocDoc app will have your personalised results and health assessment.
